- A domain name is a unique name used by Internet users to access your website. A domain name locates a business, organisation or other entity on the Internet.
- What is domain name registration?
- Domain name registration is the process of registering a unique domain name by an individual or company, which allows them to use that name for the period it is registered. A minimum of either 1 year or 2 years applies.
- What is a registrar?
- A domain name registrar is any entity, or business that acts on behalf of a registrant regarding domain name requests or modifications.
- What is a registrant?
- A registrant is the owner or licence holder of the domain name for the specified period of time the domain is registered.
- What is a WHOIS?
- Whois is an Internet directory or database used to query the owner or licence holder of a domain name. It also can display the expiration period of the domain name as well as the nameservers associated with the domain.
- What is a domain name search and how do I do one?
- A domain name search is done to determine if the domain name that you want is available for registering. A domain name search or availabilty can be done using our lookup tool at the top of the domains page. A Domain Name Wizard and a Global Search tool are also provided to assist you in finding a domain name.
